Truecaller, a global communications and Caller ID platform, today opened its largest office in Bengaluru. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as well as Electronics and Information Technology, virtually inaugurated this establishment.

According to a statement issued by the Stockholm-based company, the opening of the Bengaluru office is a significant step forward in Truecaller’s journey in India. Truecallers has grown to 338 million monthly active users in India, of which approximately 246 million are Indian. Its Bengaluru headquarters can house up to 250 employees.

“Office in India is representative of India’s growth as a trusted technology partner to the world,” Chandrasekhar said at the office’s opening. The government’s vision and focus is on fostering entrepreneurship and expanding India’s vibrant innovation and startup ecosystem.”

He also stated that the company’s growth in India is closely related to the increasing use of smartphones and the internet. He praised the minister for hastening the digital revolution. “We are overjoyed and grateful to him for his assistance on our journey. We remain committed to our users’ safety and the Digital India values of openness, trust, and security.
