‘Soon we shall bid adieu to Twitter brand’: Elon Musk is killing Twitter bird for new ‘X’ logo

Killing Twitter bird – Elon Musk hinted at the death of the Twitter brand in a tweet. Musk tweeted, ‘And shortly we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, eventually, all the birds.’ Elon Musk acknowledged the change during a Spaces interview, saying that “it should have been done a long time ago.”

Musk also asked followers to submit logo ideas for the new Twitter brand in a Tweet. Musk added in a tweet, “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make it go live worldwide tomorrow.” Later, he posted a video showing one of the prospective new logos, as well as a prototype Twitter logo, in order to crowdsource the new design.

Musk commented on a prospective logo in a tweet, saying that it should “embody the imperfections in us all that make us unique.” The billionaire said that the company will go global tomorrow if a decent enough X logo is posted in the next several hours.

Twitter’s official name change to X Corp was announced in May. The social media firm said that the ‘Terms of Service’ and ‘Privacy Policy’ pages had been modified to reflect that “Twitter Inc is now X Corp.” The updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Elon Musk, the company’s billionaire CEO, intends to expand on his ultimate vision of the “everything app” X. Musk’s goals for Twitter include transforming it into a “X” mega app similar to China’s WeChat, offering services such as mobile payments and social media under one roof.

This is not the first time the Twitter logo has changed.

Twitter’s famed bird logo was temporarily replaced in April by Dogecoin’s Shiba Inu dog. The judgment increased the cryptocurrency’s market value by $4 billion.
