Hyundai Creta rival Honda Elevate to come without panoramic sunroof, shows teaser; world premiere on June 6

Honda Cars India has released a teaser for the all-new Honda Elevate mid-size SUV, which will compete with the popular Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos. It will have its world premiere on June 6.

However, the Elevate lacks the panoramic sunroof found in the Creta and Grand Vitara. The SUV will include an electronic sunroof, similar to the Seltos.

Following the City mid-size sedan and the Amaze compact sedan, the Elevate mid-size SUV will be Honda’s third volume pillar. It will be released in India before the holiday season. Furthermore, India would be the first market to see its launch.

In terms of pricing, the Honda Elevate is likely to cost between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, as do its competitors. The Hyundai Creta costs between Rs 10.87 lakh and Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara costs between Rs 10.70 lakh and Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Kia Seltos costs between Rs 10.89 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Elevate is projected to have numerous engine options, similar to the City. The car will be equipped with a 1.5-litre VTEC DOHC petrol engine (121PS maximum power and 145Nm peak torque) with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed CVT. It is also rumoured to have a hybrid powertrain consisting of a self-charging, two-motor e-CVT system linked to a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine (126PS maximum power and 253Nm peak torque).

The Honda Elevate will have LED headlamps, DRLs, and taillamps, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels. The inside will include technologies such as a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, automated climate control, wireless charging, and ventilated seats, among others.
