GAIL (India) Limited completed the longest HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) of 3.821 km over the Mahanadi River in Odisha in the SAPL (Srikakulam-Angul Pipeline) Project on July 6, 2023.
To enable the Single Shot Pipe Pulling beneath the river, a new electromagnetic steering system was deployed.
