BYJUS Co-founder Divya Gokulnath meets NGO partners to discuss efforts for digital literacy

In India, access to a good education is still a luxury that only a few people can afford. BYJUS Education For All, a non-profit project of BYJU’S, is altering this narrative. Education For All is a one-of-a-kind corporate social responsibility strategy in which BYJU engages with over 175 non-profit organizations around the country to give free access to BYJU’s quality learning content to students in underprivileged communities.

BYJU’s Education For All program presently reaches and educates 55 lakh individuals in conjunction with 175 non-governmental organizations. To do this, it has taken a multi-stakeholder approach, collaborating with NGOs, schools, and government agencies to guarantee that excellent education reaches the most vulnerable areas. Divya Gokulnath, the Co-founder of BYJU’S and a dedicated promoter, is driving this new approach.

Divya recently hosted a roundtable discussion in New Delhi with ten key NGO partners, including Anukulan, Friends Union for Energizing Lives (FUEL), Indeed Foundation, Smile Foundation, Udayan Care, Border Security Force, Tech Mahindra Foundation, Rotary India Literacy Mission-Rotary India Humanity Foundation, SOS Children’s Village, and Sshrishti Trust.

She took their data-driven comments and asked them what else they needed to make education more successful for their beneficiaries in an interactive session. Another goal of the conference was to address the growing advantages of technology in education and how expanding its usage can aid more kids in the partnership’s next phase. This bottom-up approach, combined with top-level commitment, distinguishes BYJU’s Education For All program as unique and scalable.

BYJU’S Education for All has vowed to use digital learning to improve the lives of over 10 lakh children in Delhi, NCR, Gurgaon, and neighboring border districts. With a team of devoted educators and professionals committed to establishing a brighter future for India, the organization continues to work diligently toward its mission.

The roundtable discussion went off without a hitch. BYJU’s extension of new options to NGO partners, including skill-based and English learning classes, was one of the event’s primary highlights.

The Foundation Skills Academy, a subsidiary of BYJU’S, will help EFA recipients upskill and become job-ready, while greater mentorship from BYJU’S will help minimize school dropouts. Furthermore, increased English language training provided by NGO partners, as well as the introduction of multi-language curriculums, will aid in the reduction of the language barrier in many areas.

BYJU’S has also vowed to assist NGO partners with capacity development and teacher training programs, recognizing the significance of equipping educators with the skills they need to make a difference.

In the following months, BYJU’s plans to introduce specific initiatives focusing on adult literacy and having a greater influence on border areas and security wards. Divya Gokulnath, Co-founder of BYJU’S, commented on the occasion, “At BYJU’S, we believe that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves access to high-quality education.” Quality education is the foundation for unlocking human potential and growth, and Education For All’s aim is to offer poor children with the same high-quality material and equitable learning opportunities, as well as the digital tools and resources they require to succeed. The recent roundtable with our associated NGOs provided us with an invaluable chance to assess our effect, listen to our partners’ needs, and design a course forward. We are grateful for our partners’ continuous support and are pleased to increase access to BYJU’s material in the coming academic year.
