On June 12, 2023, an awareness workshop on “Energy Efficiency Implementation” in Indian Railways was held at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Senior officials from the Railway Board, Zonal Railways, Railway Production Units, and Railway Workshops attended the event.
As the workshop’s chief guest, Shri Naveen Gulati, Member (Traction & Rolling Stock), was present. Shri Abhay Bakre, DG, BEE, addressed the audience on Indian Railways’ Energy Transition Initiatives.

He also commended the DCs of Indian Railways for their outstanding achievement in PAT cycle-II, adding that in PAT cycle-VII, the DCs of Indian Railways will undoubtedly replicate their success in PAT cycle-II and win more ESCerts.
During the Railway Awareness Workshop, three railway installations were assisted in obtaining the Shunya Label.
