NTPC Rihand, in collaboration with CISF, organized three days of competitive exam training for young ladies as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations in an effort to promote education and empower young women from adjacent villages. The collaborative program seeks to give young women with specialized training for competitive tests, opening doors to a bright future.
The revolutionary three-day training program aimed at empowering young females from neighboring communities was successfully completed by NTPC Rihand. This project, part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program, illustrates NTPC Rihand’s dedication to community development and women’s empowerment.
A total of 70 girls participated enthusiastically in the event, all of them actively participated in a rigorous training program designed to equip them with necessary skills and knowledge. This informative effort was developed in partnership with NTPC Rihand’s CISF Unit, which offered its expertise to provide participants with a realistic and engaging experience.

The training program covered a wide range of topics meant to extend the young participants’ horizons. The seminar featured enlightening conversations on eligibility criteria for various forces in India, illuminating opportunities for women in the armed services, significant avoidable blunders in the competitive exam process, and practical field exercises to improve physical fitness. Participants also benefited from English language preparation sessions designed for competitive exams, as well as motivational talks presented by senior female NTPC Rihand employees. Throughout the training, the need of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in order to excel in the forces or any government exams was also emphasized.
The ceremony was attended by luminaries such as Shri Pankaj Mediratta, General Manager (O&M) of NTPC Rihand, and Shri Jakir Khan, AGM (HR). Their presence gave significance to the event, emphasizing NTPC Rihand’s commitment to encouraging growth and development in the local community.
“We believe in the transformative power of education,” said Shri Pankaj Mediratta, GM (O&M). He went on to say that the project represents our commitment to fostering gender equality and equal opportunity for everybody. We hope that by providing this training, we can empower young women and equip them to compete on a broader scale.
NTPC Rihand’s program demonstrates the organization’s commitment to developing local talent, supporting gender equality, and cultivating an inclusive atmosphere. The corporation is convinced that empowering young girls through such programs will greatly contribute to the general progress of society and the nation.
